About Richmond Brunch Weekend
Sara Woznicki and Cazey Willams of As Told Over Brunch, launched Richmond Brunch Weekend to celebrate the culture of the brunch scene in Richmond, which was a large inspiration for our (now defunct) blog. We soon teamed up with the Massey Alliance to raise over $90,000 for cancer research at VCU Massey Cancer Center over the course of four years.
After a two-year pandemic hiatus, our blog might have gone by the wayside, but RVA Brunch Weekend did not. It does look a little different though, perhaps a bit furrier. After getting a rescue dog during the pandemic, Sara couldn’t help but want to raise money to help other animals in need, and there’s no better organization to partner with to do so than with the Richmond SPCA.
In the two years post our hiatus, we have raised $36,000 for the Richmond SPCA and are excited to partner with them again for 2024.
Together with about 100 local restaurant partners and thousands of brunchers, Richmond Brunch Weekend has raised over $150,000 for local charities since our inception. Thank you!
